Deep South Peach Cobbler

Nothing says summer time like a piping hot peach cobbler!

There are a lot of things us Southerners are known for, and folks, two of our more charming qualities is that we love to eat and we crave our fresh produce!

Farmers markets are in abundance around the South during spring-fall months, and man, does it inspire some great recipes and awesome eating!

Peaches are one of this Georgia Peach’s favorite things about summer!

So, y’all, let’s make us a cobbler!

In full disclosure, this recipe was taken straight from Southern Living’s Easy Peach Cobbler recipe, that I adapted just slightly.

Friends, this cobbler is so amazingly delicious!

Did I mention that this may be the easiest recipe you will make, ever?!

Ingredients (makes 6 servings):

1.5 lbs of sliced peaches

3/4 cup of white sugar

1 cup of whole milk

1 cup of self rising flour

1 tsp. vanilla

1 stick of salted real butter

8×11 pyrex dish

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Gently wash the fuzzies of your peaches with cold water, slice them, and set aside.

Place your butter in the baking dish, and place it in the oven to fully melt.

Mix together the flour, milk, sugar, and vanilla.

Pour the mixture into your baking dish. Do not stir.

Pour your peaches into the dish. Do not stir.

Bake for 45-50 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
